MUMBAI: A Kandivali-based doctor was duped of Rs5.87 lakhs after he got lured to an online ad posted of the sale of an SUV that cost Rs45 lakhs in the market are kept on auction for sale for half the price.
The case was registered with the Kandivali police station on Friday after the complainant, Dr PS Shah (52), returned to Mumbai from Solapur after the fraudster asked him to reach there to drive back with the SUV. However, Dr Shah found out that there is no such place at Hanuman Nagar Railway Yard in Solapur where he was asked to reach for the vehicle delivery.
