Mumbai Cricket Association signs up Nuvama Group arm as title sponsor for T20 Mumbai leagues

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) on Tuesday said that it has signed Nuvama Group’s wealth management business Nuvama Private as the title sponsor for the T20 Mumbai League 2026 and the inaugural T20 Mumbai Women’s League.

The men’s and women’s tournaments will be held simultaneously at Wankhede Stadium from June 1 to June 13.

The association marks a major commercial milestone for the T20 Mumbai League, which was launched in 2018 and has emerged as a talent development platform for Mumbai cricketers aspiring to break into the IPL and international cricket.

The upcoming season will also see the launch of the T20 Mumbai Women’s League, which the MCA said is aimed at strengthening the pathway for women cricketers from the region.

Nuvama Private is the ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNI) business of Nuvama Group and serves more than 4,750 affluent families across investment advisory, estate planning and financing solutions.

“We are pleased to welcome Nuvama Private as the Title Sponsor for the T20 Mumbai League 2026 and the inaugural T20 Mumbai Women’s League. This partnership reflects the growing stature and credibility of the league ecosystem that MCA has built over the years,” said Ajinkya Naik, president of the MCA.

“Mumbai has always been at the forefront of Indian cricket, and through these leagues, we aim to continue creating strong pathways for emerging talent while delivering a world-class sporting product,” he added.

Rajdip Gupta, chairman of the T20 Mumbai League Governing Council, said the league had evolved into a “serious cricketing and commercial property with strong brand equity, deep fan engagement, and a proven talent-development ecosystem.”

“Over generations, Mumbai has stood for enterprise, ambition, excellence, and legacy. Cricket is deeply woven into the city’s identity,” said Alok Saigal. “We are pleased to partner with the Mumbai Cricket Association as the T20 Mumbai League enters a defining new chapter, marked by the introduction of the women’s competition alongside the men’s tournament,” he added.

The MCA said the 2026 edition of the league will feature leading international and domestic cricketers alongside emerging talent from Mumbai’s cricketing circuit.
