MUMBAI: Scores of citizens from Mumbai's Powai took to streets early Saturday morning to participate in the Khasdar Powai Marathon.
Local MP Manoj Kotak said that sporting events like marathon inculcates values such as grit, tenacity, excellence, perseverance, belief, commitment and passion.
“Marathons or simply running plays a key role in achieving fitness. Also, people have become health conscious which is why there was good participation in Saturday’s event,” he said.
The organisers arranged for thousands of litres of water, energy drinks, refreshments besides there were medical personnel as well.
