MUMBAI: A 26-year-old youth, son of a leading real estate company's director, is the latest victim of sextortion. Three fake Instagram accounts were created in his name and his morphed videos were uploaded through it and shared with friends and relatives on his friends list.
The Juhu police filed an FIR against an unknown person on Sunday for extortion, defamation, and sale or circulation of obscene content. The complainant's morphed videos were uploaded on social media when he refused to pay Rs 70,000 via GPay to the woman who blackmailed him, threatening to make it viral.
