A mum has point blank refused to let her husband name their second child after his dad because it's the same name as her ex-husband.
Picking out a name for your baby can be stressful, especially if one parent doesn't agree with the other - and that's the case with this mum-of-two who is totally against using her father-in-law's name as her child's middle name.
She took to Reddit to explain that her first son has two middle names, and is named after his maternal grandfather as well as his paternal great-grandfather, so honours both sides of the family with his monikers, The Mirror reports.

But because the woman's dad is honoured in their first son's name, her husband wants to pay tribute to his own dad with their second child - which is causing problems for the couple because of the unfortunate association for the woman.
In a post on Reddit, the mum said: "I was talking to my husband about naming our next child.
"Our first child has two middle names, one is his maternal grandfather, the other paternal great-grandfather. My husband thinks if we have another boy, the next boy should have the middle name of his paternal grandfather (my husband's dad), as he missed out on it with the first child.
"My problem is the name of my husband's dad is the same as my abusive ex-husband that I wish to forget exists. Am I the a**hole for not letting my husband name his child after his dad because of my ex?"
Commenters on the post were firmly on the mum's side, as although they understood the man's desire to honour his dad with his son's name, they agreed it wasn't fair on the mum to have to be reminded of her ex.
One person said: "Both of you should have veto power on names, and this is a trigger for you. He has to respect that."
As another added: "You both have an equal veto of your child's name; equally, you cannot give your child a name your husband doesn't like. Your husband should be able to understand why that name can bring back painful memories for you. Yes, for him it is unfortunate but surely with an explanation, he will (I hope) understand and respect your opinion."
While a third posted: "This is for the rest of your life, so anything you're really uncomfortable with has to be a no-no. You both had family names for your first child, so you could suggest two totally new names for this one that you both like."
