A woman claiming a male colleague told her maternity leave was like an “extended holiday” while she was pregnant has been awarded a £15,000 payout.
Susanne Rice, 36, had a sex and age discrimination case brought against her former employer Flint Studios Ltd, where she was employed as an Operations Manager and was the only woman on the company’s senior leadership team before she was made redundant.
She claims a senior male employee said "women have the life of it on maternity leave" and it was "like an extended holiday", Belfast Line reports.
