A new mum has split opinions after revealing she wants to go on a ‘stress free’ holiday without her stepdaughter. The woman recently welcomed a baby with her partner, who has an eight-year-old child from a previous relationship.
She now wants to go away without the youngster in a bid to take advantage of cheaper travel options, the Mirror reports. After turning to Mumsnet for advice, fellow parents struggled to decide if she was acting reasonably with her unusual request.
In a post to the website, the mum explained she doesn't want the schoolgirl to come along for several reasons, including cost and convenience. She wrote: "I'm only going to have one maternity year, my baby is only going to be free (in terms of cost) to take on holiday for so long.
