A SCOTTISH mother has spoken out about the devastation of losing her son to addiction in a bid to get more support for families.

Sandra Hercher, 50, from Inverness, has witnessed the devastating impact of drug and alcohol addiction throughout her life. While she has never struggled with addiction herself, it has touched almost every part of her family.
