Mum told she has incurable cancer after putting signs down to being busy working parent

A primary school headteacher diagnosed with an incurable cancer is writing diaries to her young children to help bring them comfort when they grow up.

Alex Jamieson, 39, was told she was expected to have just 14 months left to live when she was diagnosed with bowel cancer after initially suspecting she had Crohn's disease.

The mum-of-two, who is originally from York but moved to Stockport after meeting her husband Paul, 41, said she has struggled to come to terms with the diagnosis and can't bring herself to create a 'bucket list'.
