A mum has been told she has a year to live after noticing something was not right while driving on family holiday. Mum-of-two Louise Chambers worked as a carer for a five-year-old boy who has brain damage, whilst living with her partner of three years and visiting her grown-up sons, aged 21 and 24.
As reported by Lancs Live, her life changed forever at the end of February when she noticed things were not right during a family holiday to Lincoln. As she was driving, her left leg "felt a bit heavy on the clutch", which felt like she was suffering with a painful cramp.
As a result, she returned home a day early and rang doctors on the way, where she got an appointment straight away. Explaining her symptoms, the health workers believed Louise had suffered from a 'mini stroke' and she was therefore transferred to the hospital.
