Names are like Marmite - no matter what you pick as a parent, some people will love it and others are going to hate it, but it's your opinion that really matters.
One mum has been left questioning her decision though, after turning to the internet for some advice on a potential moniker.
The unnamed pregnant woman shared a post on BabyCentre's Baby Name group asking for thoughts on the name Narla. She gave several different spelling suggestions and shared how she had four weeks left until giving birth.
While she wasn't 100 percent set on the girl's name, she was keen to hear what others thought of it - and people did not hold back.
Her post read: "What are people's thoughts on the name Narla/Nala/Nahla and middle name suggestions please?
"Four weeks to go and no definite name yet might have to see her first."
One person was quick to say they thought the name was better suited to a dog, while for others it was too similar to the character Nala from The Lion King.
They wrote: "Honestly? It sounds like a dog's name to me. Not my cup of tea at all. Reminds me of Nala from The Lion King too. Obviously up to you though. We all have different tastes."
Someone else said: "I would spell it Nala, but it is completely up to you what you pick. If you love it, go for it."
A different user agreed it was very Disney, saying: "I know someone who called their daughter Nala, but that was because the baby's father was called Alan and she wanted to name the baby after him.
"It's a bit Lion King, but in the grand scheme of Disney names it is a bit more useable on a child."
While a fourth person thought: "My parents have a dog called Narla, not keen myself."
"Not keen....reminds me of gnarly, narwhal, and Lion King," added a fifth.
