A frustrated mum who was sick of her 'bored' kids over the bank holiday got her revenge by making them sad potato faces instead of smiley ones for dinner. Georgeanne Coates was making homemade potato smiley faces for her two children who she was struggling to keep entertained during three days off school.
The 30-year-old decided to reflect how much they had been annoying her in her cooking by making sad faces rather than smiley ones for Ethan, 13, and Dylan, 11, and site manager partner Luke, 35. The part-time cleaner and Russian language student boiled and mashed some potatoes, coated them in oil and flour and poked two eye holes with a straw before carving an upside-down smile with a teaspoon and cooking them in the air fryer.
Georgeanne says she popped a plate of the sad faces down in front of them and crept off for some alone time, leaving Ethan and Dylan in stitches. Georgeanne, from Nottingham, said: "The kids were bored, it was raining horribly and they were on their bikes coming and going and I needed to feed them quickly with something they could grab.
