Choosing your baby's name is a big commitment and while some parents have names picked out long before they welcome their children, others take a little more time picking out the perfect moniker.
For one mum on TikTok, choosing a baby name early on in her pregnancy seemed like a great idea at first, and she was quick to rush to the shops to buy baby items that were monogrammed with the name Audrey for her baby girl.
But Ashley, who posts under the username @nevertooearlyforwine, learned the hard way that it's sometimes better to wait until your baby is born to get a feel for the name you picked out, as she immediately realised she "hated" the name Audrey and didn't want to use it as for her daughter.

When her baby was five months old, Ashley filed to have her name legally changed from Audrey to Piper - and while she's happy with the decision, it meant her monogrammed items were useless.
In a video on TikTok, Ashley wrote: "Did you name your daughter early in your pregnancy, purchase all the monogrammed items and then decide once she came that you hate it and legally change her name when she was five months old?"
Alongside the text, the mum lip-synced to audio which said: "Yes, I did do that. But it was an accident."
And in the caption and the comments, Ashley explained she doesn't regret changing her baby's name, even though she had to get rid of the monogrammed items she'd bought.
She said: "Cheers to not living your whole life regretting your baby’s name!
"It was Audrey, which I still think is pretty but I just couldn’t bring myself to call her that. She’s now Piper which totally fits her!"
The mum's video has been viewed more than 374,000 times - and commenters agreed with her decision to change her baby's name, as many of them shared similar stories.
One person wrote: "Almost called my baby Emily, but I changed it to Aria and it totally fits her more."
While another said: "My daughter was called Emilia for my entire pregnancy and when she was born we were like 'Nope!' Now she's called Aubrey."
And a third posted: "I picked a name by 20 weeks, changed it two weeks after he was born and I have zero regrets! Names are important."
But another commenter admitted they've been unable to make the changes they want to their child's name - and now regret the name they picked for their 13-month-old baby.
They said: "Ah, go you for changing it. I regret the name I chose for my 13-month-old. I want to change it in the worst way."
