Mum spent all day cleaning home for her birthday party - but no guests turned up

If you're lucky enough, birthdays are considered special celebrations that come with happy memories of being surrounded by your nearest and dearest. But one TikTok user, who wanted just as much for her mother, was left heartbroken when she discovered that none of her mum's guests had appeared to her party.

The emotional daughter, Abbie, took to the video app express how devastated she was, after shedding tears for her lonely mum who had cleaned her home and prepared food for the bash. Abbie explained how her mum was left to celebrate her special day alone, after she had excitedly invited more than 40 people - but every single guest failed to show up, the Mirror reported.

The viral clip has since taken social media by storm and has now received a whopping 11.6 million views. The heartbreaking video caught the attention of Stranger Things star, Noah Schnapp, who left a sweet comment saying "I would be there! Happy birthday''.

Tearful Addie explained: "My mum threw herself a birthday party and invited over 40 people. It's 5pm, no one showed up and it started at 4pm, I'm crying.'' Captioning the post, the daughter wrote: "She made food and cleaned the whole house too."

Thousands of users rushed to the comments to share their sadness regarding the ordeal - with several wishing the disappointed mother a very happy birthday.

Arguably, the most surprising message of all was from Noah, who plays Will Byers in Stranger Things, after he left a comment saying he would have attended the mum's party. Another user exclaimed: "I will show up just for her, she deserves so much better."

A third wrote: "Omg this literally hurts my heart I’ll show up for her." A fourth commented: "This breaks my heart but she is so blessed to have you."

Putting upset users at ease, Addie shared an updated video where she and her sisters sang happy birthday to their mum to make the most of the celebrations. The TikToker wrote beside the post: "Even though it was just me and my sisters to sing to her, thank you to everyone who was showing her love."

In another video, she added: "Guys, mum is ok, she is happy, thank you for everything that you've been saying." One user assured her: "Don't worry she has 180k people wishing her happy late/birthday."
