A mum has come under fire after suggesting that it's okay for children to run around in McDonalds.
The fast food giant is known for its Happy Meals and often a favourite treat for families who want a quick bite to eat.
But while the bright colours and free toy are sure to grab the attention of the little ones, some may find it more tougher to sit still.

Taking to popular parenting forum Mumsnet, one woman argued that kids should be able to run around the table - but others disagreed.
In a Mumsnet post titled, 'To think children should be allowed to run around and have fun in McDonalds', she anonymously wrote: "It’s a children’s restaurant so children should be allowed to have fun while they eat their meal. Nothing outrageous but things like crawling under our own table, playing a little chase around our table. Not in any way bothering other customers. Being a little loud. Just a bit of fun."
The post quickly accumulated over 200 comments with many hitting back.
One quickly replied: "No. Children shouldn't be running in any place where people or walking around with food and drinks on trays."
"Isn’t there a playground for that?", another hit back.
A third said: "Having fun and being a bit loud - fine. If people want a more refined adult atmosphere they're in the wrong place. Running around - no. There are hot drinks, other customers and all sorts of things that can go wrong. Keep them at your table."
"You say not bothering other customers, but I would be very bothered and my DC [dear child] even more so", a fourth interjected.
"Your stance or 'just a little fun' isn't fun for others though", another slammed, "Running and playing chase around tables I wouldn't allow, no matter what restaurant."
"No, absolutely not. That's bad behaviour, regardless of age. In a restaurant (even a fast food one) children should be taught appropriate behaviour for the setting," said another.
The original poster then interjected: "But it’s very hard to expect a five year old and six year old to stay sitting down. Especially in a children’s restaurant."
"My dd [dear daughter] can sit down fine at the table and knows it is expected. Don't they have to sit down at the table at home when eating?" another replied.
And one simply piped up: "This has to be a wind up."
