A woman has proudly claimed she took 'petty' revenge on the passenger in front of her on a flight after they kept their seat reclined throughout the entire journey including during the meal. The frustrated mum says she initially did not have a problem with the person doing this for some extra comfort on the plane but was shocked when it stayed all the way down for the food service as well.
However, instead of asking the passenger in front of her to move her seat up, the mum opted to get her own back and decided to kick her chair throughout the meal so the woman would feel the 'discomfort' she was causing her. The passenger, who remained anonymous, took to Mumsnet to explain the situation but many other users were not so impressed with her 'passive-aggressive' behaviour, the Mirror reports.
In a post she wrote: "The woman in front reclines her chair as soon as humanly possible. No issue with that. The inflight meal comes about 45 minutes in.
"She is the only person in the cabin who keeps her seat reclined, bearing in mind she is sat bolt upright to eat." The mum said it was not within her rights to ask the rude woman to move despite her chair basically being pressed against her forehead throughout her entire meal.
She wrote: "Instead I did the petty thing and kicked her chair throughout the inflight meal, so she had a taste of the discomfort that I have". However, many other Mumsnet users could not understand why she did not just ask the person in front to move her seat rather than respond by kicking her.
One person replied: "You should of just asked her to put her seat up." Another questioned: "Why didn't you just ask her to put her seat up while you're both eating?"
A third remarked: "No you're passive-aggressive, you should of spoken up if you were that bothered, which you obviously are." Somebody else agreed: "I just don’t understand why you didn’t ask her? Surely makes more sense than kicking a chair".
