A mum-of-five was 'shell-shocked' after a stranger intervened at a Lidl checkout when her card was declined.
Jemma Lunt, from Haydock, was shopping at the Lidl store in St Helens when her card declined, before she could react a "young lad" stepped in and paid her £20 bill. Shocked by the random act of kindness, Jemma offered to transfer the kind stranger the cost, which he refused.
The mum-of-five is now desperate to "pay forward" the kind act, by donating to charities supporting struggling families for Christmas.
