A mum and dad said their world "collapsed around them" when they were told their miracle baby girl would be born with half a heart.
When Hannah Marsden, 26, and Michael Lewis, 38, welcomed their baby girl Mila-Boo into the world on June 16, 2022, it was only a matter of minutes before doctors took her away. The couple, from Lowton, Wigan, found during their 20 week scan that their "miracle" baby girl had something wrong with her heart.
She was later diagnosed with Hypoplastic Heart Syndrome, a birth defect that sees her born with half a heart as the left side had not developed properly. The family said their "world collapsed around them" as they were told it was a "10/10 case".
