Heartbreaking tributes have been paid to a "beautiful" 18-year-old girl killed by a car outside her home.
Bella Canfield died at the scene after being hit by a car in Salisbury West, northwest of Bendigo, Australia, on Wednesday.
Police have spoken to the driver but he has not been charged and investigations remain ongoing, according to Yahoo Australia.
Her mum Linda wrote in a heartbreaking Facebook post: "Our hearts are broken in a thousand pieces!
"Oh beautiful Bella, I watched my first sunrise without you and it’s unbearable.
"Life will never be the same without you.
"There will never be enough words to describe how beautiful you were.
"R.I.P our beautiful girl, fly high!"
Marist College Bendigo wrote in a Facebook post: "Bella Canfield was struck by a car while walking near their Salisbury West property (near Bridgewater). Bella died at the scene.
"Bella was in our Year 12 class of 2021 and attended Marist for six years. She was an extremely vibrant and bubbly person and was totally involved in everything Marist life offered.
"On a personal note, I am confident that no other student would have said hello to me more often over her six years and I am sure this was the case with most staff.
"Bella was incredibly popular in Year 12 and across our broader student community. Bella has a sister Neve going into Year 12 and Ava going into Year 4. Bella’s older sister Portia attended Catholic College Bendigo.
"Our Learning Commons will open again on Monday between 10am to 12pm for our Year 12 students (2021 & 2022) and any other members of our community who wish to gather, in a COVID safe environment.
"Please keep Linda, Leigh and their three girls in your prayers during this incredibly sad time.
"May Bella’s beautiful soul rest in Peace.
"Darren McGregor, Principal."
A gofundme page set up by close friends on behalf of the Canfield family said: "Tragically on January 19th 2022, Bella Canfield was struck by a car close to her home in Salisbury West and passed away.
"She was a beautiful girl who was taken far too soon. Bell was so excited to start her life at uni in Geelong and was soon to be a wonderful nurse just like her big sister.
"Bella was so loved by all of her friends and family. She had the most contagious laugh and an unforgettable smile.
"All money raised will go directly to the Canfield family to provide support, celebrate Bella’s life and be put towards funeral costs.
"Forever 18."
