An Ayrshire mum has gone viral after covering every inch of her daughter’s room in wrapping paper in a hilarious Christmas prank.
Mariea Mohan, 38, surprised daughter Tailor Mohan, 21, to an early Christmas present by wrapping her entire bedroom.
The gym owner from Prestwick set up the unique prank in time for her daughter returning home from work.
A whopping 60m of wrapping paper was used, with Mariea needing two trips to Asda to purchase SEVEN large rolls of the gift wrap.
Daughter Tailor was left stunned by the Elf on the Shelf gag with the whole thing filmed in a side-splitting Facebook Live Video.
The 16 minute clip follows Tailor coming up the stairs to find a message ‘written by elves’ at her door.
She then opens her room and gasps at the sight, with her bed, pillows and bedroom furniture looking like a Christmas present.
Funny-mum Mariea left no stone unturned as she even wrapped a carton of juice left on her daughter’s bedside drawer.
Tailor, who is studying to be a primary school teacher, can be heard saying “Are you actually for real right now. Mum you’ve literally done everything,” before later adding, "I give up with this family."
Mariea then points out she's wrapped up her bag "for school tomorrow," before laughing and commenting that she thinks the room looks "really good."
Mariea who owns All Warriors Gym in Ayr, told Ayrshire Live: “People have found it so funny, she still hasn’t unwrapped everything yet.
“I was in tears laughing last night because all I could hear was a rustling in her room. She was trying to unwrap her bed to get into it.
“She couldn’t find her face wipes or her brush. I never wrapped all her to stuff just what was in her top drawer!
“It took exactly three hours and 40 minutes to wrap it all. It was absolutely worth the effort.
“The amount of views and shares it has gotten is unbelievable. My sister phoned from Australia about it, and I’ve had random people.
“It’s all in good spirits it’s about spreading some festive cheer. I told Tailor look how many people you’ve helped make laugh.
"It was good for it be a Sunday night when everyone’s dreading going back to work on the Monday.
The elaborate stunt was set up by Mariea as part of this years Elf on the Shelf, which is taken very seriously in the Mohan household.
Mariea, who owns all-female gym All Warriors in Ayr, added: "This was prank three. I previously froze Tailor's keys inside a water bottle and drew cat whiskers on her with a Sharpie, I also got Santa to come round to surprise her and her boyfriend.
"Yesterday I knew she was going to be at work. I just texted her to set it up and she replied back 'you're ruining my life'.
"There is still a fourth prank to come, but I don't think I'll ever top wrapping up her whole room."
