A mum has told of her horror after a Rottweiler savaged her seven-year-old daughter's face - with only her hoodie saving her from losing her life.
The terrified girl said owner James Palmer, 31, had told her the mutt was "friendly" when she went over to stroke it as he held it on a lead and a harness.
But it launched at the little girl, leaving her with horrific facial injuries on April 11 last year.
