A mum has revealed she was left furious with her boyfriend after he suggested that she take some time for herself as a treat - by going and doing a food shop for the family.
The mum, named Georgina, said that her boyfriend often leaves her at home with their children whenever there's a football match on that he wants to watch, and he usually tells her he'll be "back soon" while not actually getting in until the early hours of the morning.
Georgina said in a TikTok video she was left outraged during her boyfriend's most recent escapade and to make it up to his partner, the bloke said she could take his card and have some "time to herself" at the supermarket - which was his idea of a break for the woman.

In her video, she explained: "I've had it up to here with my boyfriend.
"For some reason, he seems to think that even though we have three kids together, it's okay to be like 'Oh, the football's on, I'm going out babe. I'll be back soon!' and then he just doesn't come back.
"He did this last night even though he knows that I hate it, so naturally this morning I was a little bit p***ed off. So he said to me, 'Babe why don't you take my card and you can go to the supermarket and do a food shop on your own? Have some time to yourself.' "
But the woman, who posts under the username @georginaandthegirls, instead decided to take matters into her own hands and used her boyfriend's card to purchase a swimming costume - before booking herself in for a spa day.
Georgina refused to tell her partner where she'd gone, and only text him telling him she'll be "back soon" to imitate the messages she often receives from him.
She added: "I did go to the supermarket and I got a nice swimsuit and some face wipes - because I have booked myself into a spa. I can't wait, I'm going to have some time to myself.
"He thinks I'm still at the supermarket. He's already called me twice and I've just ignored him. I'm just going to message him with what he messages me usually. Things like, 'back soon' and 'won't be long'.
"I'm just not going to tell him where I am."
Commenters on the TikTok video applauded Georgina for her revenge plan, but some suggested that she might need to rethink her life plans with her boyfriend if he keeps disrespecting her boundaries by staying out so late.
One person said: "Treat yourself by doing a chore by yourself, infuriating! Hope you enjoyed your spa day, you deserve it!"
As another added: "The fact his idea of a treat for you is going to do the food shop which is a chore…"
While a third wrote: "The fact that you made it clear it's a boundary for you and he continues to disrespect it, means he knows that you hate it but he knows you always tolerate it. Something needs to change."
Georgina later shared a follow-up video in which she insisted that her relationship with her boyfriend is fine and she's "happy" - and he fully understood why she had taken herself on a spa trip to treat herself.
