A mum on Universal Credit has slashed £213 from her annual bills using tips from Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis. The woman, whose name is Sam, says she looked to Money Saving Expert Martin when she was worried about rising energy prices.
Sam is on an increased rate of Universal Credit due to disability, but was left panicking about her finances when the cost of living crisis worsened. She wrote in to MoneySavingExpert to explain how Martin had completely rescued her in a time of need.
Sam first explained how she used its new car insurance comparison tool to save £53 compared to what she was spending last year. She then haggled this renewal price down by a further £32 with no loss of cover, to add to her saving, reports the Mirror.
