The mum of Polish girl Julie Wendell who believed she was Madeleine McCann has broken her silence after DNA results revealed Wendell was not the child who went missing in 2007.
Wendell initially stated she believed herself to be the missing child, who would now be 19 years old. Her social media posts caught the attention of the world, and many have been waiting to hear the outcome of a DNA test to find out if she is related to the McCann family.
However the results proved she isn't related to the family at all, and ruled she is in fact Polish. Now her mother Dorota Wandelt-Cholewinski and stepfather Piotr Cholewinski have spoken out over their distress at the claims by Wendell that she isn't their daughter.
