A mum of five was left unable to shower or eat properly for days after missing PIP benefit payment. The family had not received their Personal Independent Payment and so were unable to pay for their gas and electric meters.
Sarah Brown was expecting her payment to arrive directly into her bank account on Wednesday morning (June 1) but woke up to find she had not been paid. Sarah lives with her partner Stephen and five children.
Manchester Evening News reports that the family were not able to shower for days. Sarah had to wrap her eight-month-old baby in clothes in their cot so they wouldn't get cold through the night.
