A Bristol woman who lives in a Hartcliffe high-rise says her life is being made a nightmare by anti-social behaviour.
The mum, who wishes to remain anonymous says since autumn last year there has been a long-running dispute between residents inside Chestnut House, which has caused her to fear for the wellbeing of her young children. She told Bristol Live she was physically assaulted when she asked a resident if they felt remorseful for their behaviour having heard unsettling noises and abusive language being hurled within the corridors the day before.
On New Year's Eve, she said the intense uproar heard outside her door had intensified. The terrified mum told Bristol Live that she asked the council for emergency rehousing but claims she was refused. “The atmosphere here is horrible and the council doesn't care. My kids are scared,” she added.
