A mum was left 'repulsed' as she tucked into a festive sandwich from Tesco. Maria Brand picked up a Turkey and Trimmings sandwich as part of a meal deal to enjoy on her lunch break.
The teacher had been looking forward to enjoying her Christmas-themed treat, which she picked up at the Wallasey Express store on the Wirral, Merseyside, to enjoy at New Brighton seafront. But she says she was 'not expecting' what she went on to find in the sandwich.
She claims that she felt something 'hard' in her mouth, and discovered what she says looked like a piece of wood. It has ruined future meal deals for her, the Liverpool Echo reports.
