Mum hits back at trolls who blasted her for daughter's 'satanic' birthday party

A young mum has hit back at trolls who blasted her for throwing a 'satanic' party for her daughter's first birthday. Janeth Zapata wanted to throw a special celebration for Lilith Alexa, and thought a traditional bash with colourful balloons and bunting just wouldn't cut it.

Instead, she got dark balloons, baked a cake with a pentagram on it, and dressed Lilith in black before placing her next to a pinata resembling Baphomet, a goat-headed deity used in Satanic rituals. As the Daily Star reports, Janeth got a lot of negative comments after she shared a video of the celebration on TikTok, but soon she hit back at the haters.

One of the videos, which racked up a whopping 2.3million views, shows little Lilith dressed in black, and a horned goat demon is nearby.

The tot was also seen tucking into a birthday cake topped with a pentagram, which is known as a symbol of modern occultism, in icing.

Janeth Zapata shocked TikTok users with a slideshow of images from the bizarre party to celebrate her daughter Lilith Alexa's first birthday.

"Rumours say I had the best outfit for my first birthday," the young mum wrote in the caption on the original video.

Social media users soon kicked up a fuss over the party and the outfit, claiming it was more like a sacrifice than a birthday.

Lorena Salazar commented: "I don't think it's a party or colour for a little girl. I really don't know what went through the mum's mind."

Susely Cardenas wrote: "That wasn't a birthday party, that was a sacrifice."

Another user said: "With demons included."

A fourth added: "No hate, but do you know what your baby's name means?"

Others added that the little girl's name is also the same name as the female demonic figure of Jewish folklore.

The comments prompted Janeth to explain what was going on and denied claims that the party was satanic.

She explained: "I see there are many news sites that put out my daughter's party with lies. One, we're not Satanists. Two, there were guests.

"Three, the party didn't have anything Satanic. Four, the pinata isn't Satan, nor the Devil, it's Baphomet. Five, the pentagram isn't inverted because it's not Satanic."
