Mum had to leave autistic son asleep on Manchester Airport floor after easyJet delay

A mum said she needed to let her autistic four-year-old son sleep on the floor after delays at Manchester Airport led to their holiday being cancelled.

Lauren Kennedy and her partner Shaun were due to fly to Turkey for a family holiday to celebrate their son's birthday. The couple said they had saved up and 'gone all-out' on the Antalya holiday, that was due to start on Monday, May 23.

But the family were left in 'chaos' after hours of delays at the airport and their flight being cancelled. Lauren, from Bolton, said her son was left 'screaming' at the boarding gate as they scrambled to find a solution to the cancellation.
