A mum has shared how she created a stunning flower wall feature using £14 panels from eBay.
Samantha McLintock, 31, a mum-of-two from Hartlepool was inspired by a similar design she’d seen by Loose Women star Stacey Solomon.
After doing some hunting online, she found £14 flower panels on eBay and created the flower mural herself instead of hiring a professional.
Other wall panels she’d seem cost £30 each - meaning she’d saved around 50% by shopping around.
Samantha already has two boys but wanted a very girly room for when her first daughter arrives in four weeks’ time.
She told the Facebook group DIY On A Budget UK : “We initially saw the idea on Stacey Solomon's Instagram as she had completed something similar and we loved it.
"We spent months researching online and trying to find the flower panels as cheap as possible as prices were in excess of £30 per panel.
“Then we eventually found some on ebay for around £14 per panel. The panels were only 30cm x 40cm so we ended up needing 30 panels in total.”
Samantha spent £392 in total on the 30 panels but is thrilled with the results.
She used a staple gun to attach the flower panels to the wall and said this worked better than using pins, as these kept coming loose.

"If I was to give any tips, it would be to explore your mad ideas,” she said.
"We were laughed at by so many people when we said we wanted a full flower wall as they all said it was a very ambitious idea.
“We think it has come together lovely and are over the moon with how it's turned out.
"We absolutely love it and are so glad we took the risk and bought them. Everyone was telling us not to do it but I’m so happy with it.”

If you are able to take on a job yourself, you'll save money compared to hiring a professional.
Tom Church, co-founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, added: “Many of us have been inspired to take on a home project based on something we’ve seen on Instagram, but these can definitely be pricey.
“Samantha’s research has definitely paid off, as rather than paying £30 per panel, a standard price online, she’s managed to get her dream flower wall for less than half price.
“This just shows that spending time online hunting for the best bargain pays dividends, and can save you a fortune in home renovation costs.”
