A single mum "broke down in tears" after seeing her latest energy bill totalling more than £2,000.
Shannon McBarron, 18, lives with her 15-month-old son in a council flat. The mum-of-one said her monthly energy bill is usually no more than £45, so she was shocked on Monday when she was charged almost £1,000.
Sharron, from Crewe, was told that she needn't worry and that the issue had been sorted when she managed to speak to the energy provider Scottish Power over then phone. However, yesterday (Thursday, November 10) she said she "broke down in tears" when she saw that her bill had increased further, to £2,496.75.
