A mum and daughter were killed when a rotting tree fell on their car as a heatwave "sped up its decline", an inquest heard.
Elaine Reason, 56, and 16-year-old Grace were travelling in their Land Rover Freelander when it was crushed by the mature beech tree nearly three years ago.
The roots of the tree were decaying and hot weather from the year previous had exacerbated its deterioration, heard Gloucestershire Coroner's Court.
