It’s been a slow start for Ohio State Football, and it seems like some analysts are a bit down on the Buckeyes.
Prior to the season, it wasn’t uncommon to have seen up to five OSU player’s getting projected to be selected early in the NFL Draft. Now, ESPN’s Mel Kiper has updated this 2024 NFL big board (subscription required) and only two Bucks made it into his top 25.

Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.
Projection
Harrison Jr., is projected as the second best player in the draft, behind USC quarterback Caleb Williams. Kiper say’s he “has everything, from outstanding size and stellar hands to incredible body control and blazing speed.”
Wide receiver Emeka Egbuka
Projection
The second Buckeye in top 25, Egbuka, checks in at No. 23 on his list. Kiper notes “his biggest strength is his consistency – he picked up 50 first down on his 74 total catches in 2022.” He’s ranked as the No. 6 receiver.
Running back TreVeyon Henderson
Projection
Henderson is ranked as the No. 3 back in a Big Ten heavy top 6. The first five are in-conference foes. On the year the Buckeye has 103 yards on 17 carries and two scores.
Tight end Cade Stover
Projection
Stover is Kiper’s No. 5 at the position. On the season, he as 5 catches for 98 yards.
Offensive guard Donovan Jackson
Projection
The starter is ranked as the No. 6 player at his position.
Defensive end JT Tuimoloau
Projection
The Washington native is the No. 2 player in the positional rankings. Tuimoloau has 3 tackles on the year.
Defensive tackle Michael Hall Jr.
Projection
Hall checks in as the No. 3 tackle, and has 3 tackles and a sack on the young season.
Off-ball linebacker Tommy Eichenberg
Projection
The weirdest positions group award has a Buckeye at No. 4. Tommy Eichenberg has 10 tackles, a forced fumble, and a sack on the year.
Cornerback Denzel Burke
Projection
Once projected as a lock for the first round, Burke is the No. 6 corner according to Kiper. He has a tackle and an interception this year.
Safety Latham Ransom
Projection
The surprise Buckeye on the list who is the No. 5 player at his position in Lathan Ransom. On the season he as 5 tackles.
