Almost an entire month's worth of rain has been dumped on a city in less than 48 hours as a sluggish low pressure system crawls across Australia's southeastern states.
Parts of Melbourne were battered with up to 58mm of rain in the first two days of October - more than 80 per cent of Victoria's average rainfall for the month.
