The teenager who collapsed and died in front of friends and family at a restaurant over the weekend has been named.
Euan McNamara, 15, couldn't be saved when emergency services raced to Browns at the Liverpool ONE complex in Merseyside.
The popular year 11 pupil at St Mary's College was with his relatives and pals on Saturday evening.
Members of the public and staff tried to help the schoolboy until medics arrived.
The teen was rushed to hospital for treatment but later died, despite the best efforts of medics.
Police confirmed his death is not believed to be suspicious and his next of kin are being supported by specialist officers.
His teachers have described him as a "much-loved member" of the college.
The Principal of St. Mary’s College Mike Kennedy said: "The news of Euan’s death has come as a terrible shock to us all and our thoughts and prayers are with Euan’s family and friends including his sister, Megan, who is a pupil in year 9 at our school.
"Euan was a really lovely boy and a much-loved member of our school with so much to look forward to in his life.
"To pass away at such a young age is truly tragic, and his sad loss will be felt throughout the whole St. Mary’s community."
Mr Kennedy added that St. Mary’s will be offering additional support measures to pupils and staff members affected by Euan’s death.
Hundreds of people took to social media to share tributes to the boy and sent their condolences to his family.
One person wrote: "His poor parents, my heart went out to them. My two grandchildren lit a candle in church for him this morning.
"I have to say I've been thinking of them all last night. May he rest in peace prayers thoughts to his family friends."
Another commented: "I witnessed this yesterday with my husband and children and couldn’t stop thinking of this boy and his poor family who was with him.
"So heartbreaking thinking of all his family at this sad time."
