Emmerdale star James Moore has been a favourite on the ITV soap ever since he joined the cast in 2018.
The 29-year-old actor – who plays Charity Dingle’s long-lost son Ryan Stocks – had the role written for him after answering a call out for a disabled cast member.
Writers then used the story of James’ own life having Ataxic Cerebral Palsy to shape his character in the show.
Viewers are used to seeing him rocking a hipster style with long shoulder length locks and facial hair.
But he used to look very different prior to joining Emmerdale, as these recently unearthed pictures show.

Posting a throwback snap on his Twitter account, James shared a photo of himself looking like we know him now, alongside another with shorter hair.
His hair also looked to be much darker and emo-like and was swept across his face.
He captioned the pic: “2009 vs 2019. Don’t ask.”
Fans were quick to comment, with some even comparing his old hairstyle to a certain Justin Bieber.
One joked: “Knew you were a Bieber fan,” while another wrote: “Twilight phase? Or just wanted the ‘I’m sexier than Bieber’ look?”
Referencing their own dodgy Noughties ‘do, one fan sympathised with James saying: “OMG EMO hair if ever there was emo hair.
“Don’t worry 10 years ago I had white hair and black eyes... a bit like Taylor Momsen after she finally freed herself from Gossip Girl.”
James posted another message to fans by way of explanation, saying: “To everyone asking if I was into @justinbieber the answer is only after 2012 when he ventured in to R&B Journeys/Purpose eta... so basically after the swoopy hair phase.
“The explanation for the photo above was that I was just a bit fat emo.”
Since bursting onto our TV screens three years ago, James has won Best Newcomer at the National Television Awards.
He gave an emotional speech about how he hoped to changed perceptions of disability on-screen and other areas of life in the future.
He told the audience: “Thank you so much this means the world to us, a year ago I never thought I'd be here.
"And for Emmerdale to take on someone with a disability shows the progression we need in this day and age. This means the world to me."
And while James’ character hasn’t had the easiest of time in Emmerdale, his life off-screen is pretty sweet.
The Cheltenham-born star lives with his girlfriend Sophie Edwards and their adorable cat Tonto, who he has tattooed on his leg.
Last year he posted a tribute to Sophie on Instagram to celebrate their then second anniversary together, saying: "We’ve come so far from where we started.
"We live together, we have our own little fur baby, and we are stronger than ever.
"I’m so thankful for your support and encouragement and just pure, absolute love that you give me each and every day, and I can’t wait to make some new memories with you in the years to come. Happy anniversary, I love you."
