Manchester United fans have suggested that the team look “better” without Cristiano Ronaldo in the side, while hailing Jadon Sancho for his composed finish against Leicester to open the scoring for the visitors.
A deft assist from Marcus Rashford - who again started as the main striker ahead of the benched Ronaldo amid Anthony Martial’s injury - allowed Sancho to round the keeper before coolly slotting home on 23 minutes.
It was his second goal of the season following his clever finish against Liverpool earlier this month. The opener followed a positive beginning to the game for United, who looked well-oiled and much improved from their slow start in Saturday’s 1-0 over Southampton.
