Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has made an early endorsement for the Republican ticket in 2028, and it isn't likely going to sit well with President Donald Trump.
On Friday, Greene heaped praised onto former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who, like her, has been an outspoken critic of Trump's war on Iran.
"I SUPPORT TUCKER," Greene wrote. "Trump doesn't even know what MAGA is anymore and turned it into MIGA [Make Iran Great Again]. Trump is not America First, he's donor first," she wrote on social media.
She went on to say that she would vote for Carlson as president — and believes he'd beat Trump.
"Tucker would beat Trump if he ran for President and Trump tried to violate the constitution and tried to run again for a third term," she wrote.
Greene’s comments came after Trump claimed “Tucker had lost his way,” in response to the podcast host calling the war in Iran “absolutely disgusting and evil.”
"Tucker has lost his way,” Trump told ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent Jonathan Karl when asked about Tucker.
“I knew that a long time ago, and he's not MAGA. MAGA is saving our country. MAGA is making our country great again. MAGA is America first, and Tucker is none of those things. And Tucker is really not smart enough to understand that,” he added.
Carlson, when asked to respond, refused to hit back at the president.
“There are times I get annoyed with Trump, right now definitely included,” he told Status. “But I’ll always love him no matter what he says about me.”
Carlson has teased the idea of a possible presidential run, though never in any overly serious way. During a 2024 episode of his podcast, Carlson said he might consider a candidacy in 2028, but added that he doesn't "think I'd be very good at it."

Meanwhile, Greene — who resigned from her Congressional seat after a high-profile split with Trump — has become an outspoken critic of the war in Iran. She was also a critic of the U.S.'s continued support for Ukrainian defense against Russia and wanted the U.S. to cut military aid to Israel.
Trump has dismissed Greene as a “traitor” and a “ranting lunatic.”
On Wednesday, Greene complained that Trump's war in Iran was costing U.S. taxpayers billions.
"War with Iran is costing American taxpayers $1 billion dollars a day. Most American tax payers will never receive a Social Security check because it will be bankrupt by 2033," she wrote on social media. "Most Americans can’t afford health insurance policies because they are so expensive."
She continued, arguing against the U.S. spending billions on a war while regular Americans struggled to make ends meet.
"Most American families cannot financially survive on a single income, and both parents have to work like slaves in order to feed their children and keep a roof over their heads," she said.
"But the Trump administration has decided that these American taxpayers have to spend $1 billion a day to murder people and their children in a foreign country that none of us have ever met and know nothing about."
"Incredible MAGA priorities," she concluded.
