Another big-time Spartans target in the 2025 class is going elsewhere.
Michigan State basketball struck out on another five-star prospect this past weekend, with small forward Dwayne Aristode committing to Arizona over the Spartans. Michigan State was one of a few schools considered in the mix for Aristode before he announced his decision to become a Wildcat.
Aristode ranks as the No. 4 small forward in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 18 overall prospect in the class.
Michigan State was finalists for three marquee five star recruits in the 2025 class but all three committed elsewhere. Jalen Harlason chose Notre Dame, Darius Adams chose UConn and now Aristode chose Arizona.
Michigan State currently has one commit in its 2025 class. That is four-star shooting guard Jordan Scott — who committed to Michigan State last week.
