MSU-Illinois Prediction, 5 Determining Factors from LSJ’s Graham Couch

Michigan State football will look to get one game closer to bowl eligibility in an intriguing road game at Illinois on Saturday.

The Spartans are a narrow underdog in Saturday’s matchup at Illinois. Michigan State comes into this game with a 4-5 overall record and 2-4 conference record. The Spartans have lost two straight games but had a bye last week to regroup for the final three-game stretch.

Illinois comes into this matchup also on a two-game losing streak. The Fighting Illini are 6-3 overall and 3-3 in conference play.

Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday and the game will be televised on Fox Sports 1.

Graham Couch of the Lansing State Journal is back again this week to offer his thoughts on this matchup between Michigan State and Illinois. Click here to see how Couch believes this game will play out and who he has winning in the end.
