Michigan State basketball will be in contention for the Big Ten title next year, according to the Bart Torvik T-Rankings.
The preseason T-Rankings — which is driven by analytics and metrics — have been released and Michigan State is one of the highest-ranked teams from the Big Ten. The Spartans are No. 18 nationally behind only Purdue (No. 16) and Illinois (No. 17) and one spot ahead of Rutgers (No. 19).
The rankings also project wins and losses but with the Spartans’ schedule still not officially released, we won’t know that projected record until later on. For now, the T-Rankings state Michigan State will go 12-8 in Big Ten, along with Illinois, Purdue and Rutgers.
