MSU Hockey remains near top of latest USCHO.com poll

Michigan State hockey remains in the top five nationally in the latest USCHO.com poll released on Monday.

The Spartans remained No. 4 in the latest poll for Division I men’s hockey that was released on Monday. Michigan State has been No. 4 all season and that didn’t change this week.

Michigan State remains the highest-ranked Big Ten team. Behind the Spartans is Minnesota (No. 5), Michigan (No. 10), Notre Dame (No. 17), Ohio State (No. 19) and Wisconsin (No. 20).

Michigan State was essentially off this past weekend, with the Spartans playing an exhibition game on Friday against Windsor (Ont.). The Spartans picked up a 5-0 victory in that exhibition matchup.

Michigan State returns to the ice for another non-conference two-game series this weekend at Canisius. Both games are scheduled to start at 7 p.m. ET on Friday and Saturday.
