Michigan State got strong performances from numerous players in Saturday’s win at Maryland, but only a few are able to be named players of the game.
Head coach Jonathan Smith announced his four players of the game from the Spartans’ victory at Maryland on Saturday. The win pushed Michigan State to 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in conference play.
Here’s a breakdown of the players of the game for the Spartans:
- Cornerback Charles Brantley was the Defensive Player of the Game
- Wide receiver Nick Marsh was the Offensive Player of the Game
- Kick Jonathan Kim was the Special Teams Player of the Game
- Center Tanner Miller was the Lineman of the Game
Michigan State football returns home this week for its next non-conference matchup against FCS foe Prairie View A&M. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
