Another Michigan State commit in the 2025 class will be at Spartan Dawg Con later this month.
Three-star defensive lineman Derrick Simmons of Frankenmuth, Mich. announced on Thursday that he plans on attending the annual Spartan Dawg Con event on July 27. The event is held to highlight the program, which incorporates recruits, current players, coaches, and former players and coaches.
Simmons ranks as the No. 57 defensive lineman in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 9 player from Michigan and No. 535 overall prospect in the class.
Simmons committed to Michigan State last month. He choose the Spartans over notable offers from Purdue, Illinois, Northwestern and Cincinnati.
