Michigan State has expressed interest in one of the top small forwards in the 2025 class.
The Spartans reportedly contacted four-star small forward Joson Sanon of Saxtons River, Vt. on Thursday. At midnight on June 15, college coaches are officially able to directly contact high school prospects in the 2025 class.
Michigan State was one of many big-time programs to reach out Sanon on the first day of contact period. Other notable programs to contact Sanon includes Kentucky, Indiana, LSU, Providence, Ohio State, Pitt, Michigan, Syracuse, Washington, Boston College and SMU.
Sanon ranks as the No. 5 small forward and No. 30 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He is also the top player from Vermont.
Michigan State has yet to extend an offer to Sanon — but he does have offers already from Alabama, Boston College, Georgetown, Iowa and Georgia Tech.
