Scrubbing enthusiasts have come up with one common item they say can banish 'black sludge' - and you may have it at home already. Costing in the region of just 4p, the solution to combat sludge on your sheets or mould in the washing machine is all down to a dishwasher tablet.
The clever idea was posted in a Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook group - after one woman needed advice after learning the hard way. Writing on the site, she was devastated to see her sheets come out dirtier than before, but learned how one dishwasher tablet could solve the problem, reports The Daily Record.
Sharing a picture of a white bed sheet covered in dark streaks, she wrote: "No judgement please. I’ve just put my white bedding in for a wash and it’s come out like this. I have wiped all the rubber seal and thick black sludge is just coming off."
