There's nothing worse when you're cooking than getting oily stains on your surfaces. They look unsightly, and if you leave them for any period of time, they can become quickly engrained and difficult to get out - but it's all too easy to think to yourself 'I'll sort that another day'.
But if you've been putting it off for too long, don't worry, as Mrs Hinch fans have got just the solution for you - and it costs only £1 in some stores, and people swear by it.
One cleaning fan took to the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook group to ask how to banish stubborn stains.
They wrote: "How do I get rid of oily cooking stains from my kitchen cabinets? Thanking you in advance."
In the comments, overwhelmingly, the recommendation was to use 'Elbow Grease', which can be bought from the pound shop. It's simple to use, with the instructions reading: "Spray evenly over the surface, wait a few minutes then wipe with a damp cloth. A second application may be required depending on build-up."
It's also safe to use on fabrics, metals, and plastics, and is suitable for kitchen surfaces, carpets, microwaves, and barbeques.
Many people described it as "amazing" in the comments, saying that it "works great."
Someone else wrote: "Elbow Grease is 100% the best", and another suggested that they could "get it from B&M bargains."
Another said: "Hot soapy water, Elbow Grease wash up liquid, and dry. Don't use harsh chemicals as it takes away the protective layer."
Recently, Mrs Hinch fans have also suggested another fantastic tip to get tomato sauce out of white clothes.
One person advised: "I married into an Italian family, resulting in lots of tomato stains (love pasta sauce). Always goes if you leave freshly laundered fabric in the sun, even in the UK."
