Being able to keep your windows open in summer is something that most people will want to do, as it's one of the only ways to get a breeze when you're stuck inside.
But the downside to having your windows open is that you inadvertently invite the cast of 'A Bug's Life' into your home, with insects flying around like they own the place.
And this can spell even further trouble if you have pets in the house, who may hurt themselves if they chase the critters around. It can be difficult to know what to do for the best though.
Thankfully, fans of cleaning sensation Mrs Hinch came to the rescue, and one suggested an item that they "wouldn't be without", and it's purse-friendly too.
The £5 product was suggested in the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook group, where cleaning gurus share their best tips and tricks with other budding Hinchers.
One woman asked: "How do you keep flies away? I have got a door from the kitchen to the garden."
The post received hundreds of comments, with many suggesting the same thing – a magnetic insect door curtain.
One woman shared a picture of her own, adding: "Cost £5....wouldn't be without it...magnetic insect door curtain."
The purpose of these curtains is to keep out flies, mosquitoes, midges, wasps, spiders, and all types of flying and crawling insects during the summer months when they're more prolific.
With a fly screen, you are free to enjoy the cool breezes with peace of mind that your property is protected from unwanted insects.
They can be purchased online for as little as £2.93 on Amazon, and reputable retailers such as JML have their own versions for £10.
The JML snap screen says: "Keeps bugs out and let fresh air in with Snap Screen. This clever door screen has magnets along the opening, so as soon as you walk through it, it snaps shut behind you. This creates an impenetrable barrier that flies, moths, mosquitoes, wasps, and bees just can't get through."
Have you tried one of these before? Let us know in the comments.
