Mrs Hinch rose to fame on social media after sharing her cleaning tips and tricks online, gaining her over 4.3 million followers.
Since then, her fans have followed in her footsteps creating Facebook groups to share their own hacks for cleaning and tidying. And fans' latest popular hack includes how to remove toilet bow limescale stains, reports the Express
The hack surfaced after a woman asked for advice on removing a heavy limescale build up in the bottom of her toilet bowl on the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook page.
Joanna Calenti wrote: “I’m trying to remove heavy limescale build up from the bottom of my toilet bowl. Have used white vinegar, no joy and 24 hours with Spirits of Salt which shifted some but not all. Any suggestions?”
More common in locations with hard water, the limescale stains can make a loo look unkept, despite regular cleaning. There were a variety of suggestions, however the majority of Mrs Hinch fans agreed that a mere 2p will do the trick.
Nicola Gonzalez said: “Use a 2p coin to rub the limescale off, it’s so quick and easy.”
Pamela Seale commented: “2p coin works amazing on limescale.”
Lisa Swarbrick suggested: “Plunge out the water and rub the toilet using a 2p coin and the limescale just falls off.”
Maggie Nash explained: “After trying many cleaning tips, a 2p coin works the best and is cheap so you don’t have to buy any cleaning products.”
Lisa Thomson agreed: “A 2p coin will sort your toilet right out.”
The cheap and easy trick removes the necessity for using harsh chemicals in your bathroom.
But for those wanting a bit of a less hands-on option, Danielle Ganning suggested: “Full fat coke, pour in and leave overnight then flush. It will all be gone by morning.”
