The Hornets announced a new partnership with Feastables, the food brand founded by popular YouTuber MrBeast, on Monday. The move marks the first partnership between an influencer and an NBA team.
MrBeast, whose real name is James Donaldson, is the most-subscribed individual on YouTube thanks to the variety of his videos. Donaldson, who’s known for expensive stunts and challenges, boasts 188 million subscribers on the platform.
“We’re entering feast mode this season,” the team said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Donaldson announced the creation of the food company in January 2022. The brand also has its own line of chocolate bars called MrBeast Bars.

In the announcement, star point guard LaMelo Ball could be seen donning his No. 1 jersey while eating a Feastables snack in the locker room. On the top left shoulder of his jersey, the Feastables logo can be seen. NBA teams began allowing teams to sell advertising space on jerseys in the 2017-18 season.
